Overview
This project was a whole of playground upgrade entailing the removal of the previously existing play equipment and the install of all new equipment, and fresh certified playground sand.
PLSNQ took the site from a somewhat rundown (Brownfield) site condition and transformed it back to vibrant and appealing interactive area for student use.
Our goal and client aim were to provide the Department of Education, School and Student Body with a fresh and pleasant environment to play and relax within.

Scope of Work

• Demolition and removal of pre-existing play structure, sand and boarders.
• Site set out and preparation including post hole boring
• Installation new posts, interactive equipment, soft boarder edging and new certified playground sand
• Clean down and top dress work zone ready for certification inspection and hand back to school

Challenges

The main project challenges faced during our time on site were:

• Confined and constrained size of work zone
• Limitation of time of day when construction type noise was not permitted
• On occasion weather was a hinderance.

The Result

The ultimate result has been a visually appealing yet practical and easy-care playground environment that will provide the school, students and community with a pleasant environment for years to come.
Our direct client, Big Splash Playgrounds is extremely pleased with the result with the company director engaging with PLSNQ on multiple future projects as a preferred subcontractor to Big Splash Playgrounds.
