Overview
This project was a whole of site, fresh landscape package during the construction of the newly build KFC Store. PLSNQ took the site from a bare (Brownfield) site with only the main building on it and transformed the exterior areas into lush, appealing planted areas with climate specific plants, irrigation and mulch. The planting theme as provided by the project architect allows for easy maintenance in the longer term. Our goal and client aim were to provide the store clients and staff with a fresh and pleasant environment to be within.

Scope of Work

• Site preparation including ripping/tilling of garden areas
• Hardscape Paving to separate area around Ergon pad mount substation within the KFC grounds
• Softscape works including irrigation, planting and mulching to numerous garden bed areas
• Provision of a 12-week post completion maintenance and monitoring program

Challenges

• Multiple trades such as plumbing, electrical, advertising and communications were still delivering works within our zones of landscaping
• On occasion weather was a hinderance

The Result

The ultimate result has been a visually appealing yet practical and easy-care landscape environment that will provide the store, its clients and team a pleasant environment for years to come.
